The thing that changes is our sense of modesty. We’ve been selling group shower fixtures since the 30’s, and the fact is it always makes sense to install fixtures that use space and water economically in larger facilities. The same picture and tagline actually got used in a few different places, so it must have been fairly successful. You’ve probably seen this picture before… We definitely wouldn’t run this ad now, but back then I bet nobody thought it was strange at all. What can you really say about this? It was the 60’s, things were different then. In the other main style, the heads are located side by side along one, two, or three sides of a communal shower room, as in this elegant (but unpeopled) installation: The sheer fun of showering together!
